ERA Vectis composite door lock repair in Sprotbrough

We recently attended a property in Sprotbrough, Doncaster, where the customer’s front composite door had jammed shut. The door had an ERA Vectis multipoint locking mechanism that failed. As a result, the customer couldn’t open their front door. We regularly handle these issues through our composite door repair service in Doncaster.

Jammed composite door opened without damage.

Using specialist locksmith wires, we released the faulty locking mechanism and opened the door without causing damage. Once the door was open, we inspected the mechanism and identified the problem. Fortunately, we repaired the existing door rather than replace it.

ERA Vectis locking mechanism replaced

The original ERA Vectis locking mechanism was 14 years old, so it had certainly served the customer well.

In our experience, these locks often last around 10 to 12 years, although their lifespan depends on use and maintenance.

We removed the faulty mechanism and fitted a brand-new ERA Vectis replacement, supplying the customer with three new keys.

ERA is a well-known manufacturer of door locking systems. You can read more about its products on the official ERA website.

Once fitted, we tested the new locking mechanism to ensure the door opened, closed, and locked smoothly.

Another returning customer in Sprotbrough

This wasn’t the first time we’d helped this customer. A few years earlier, we’d visited the same property to repair a similar locking problem on their rear composite door. It’s always good to be called back by customers who are happy with our previous work.

The customer was very pleased to have their front door working properly again and hopes the new ERA mechanism will last just as long as the original.

Our two-year guarantee covers all replacement parts and labour.
